Momming in the crazy

How are you guys living in the crazy?  I think Miss Berkelee has finished Disney Plus and the amount of time Fortnite has been on in my house should probably not be talked about.  So obviously I'm not shining bright like a diamond in this department either.  I don't know about you but aside from the obvious this has been rough on my kiddos.  Anxiety is REAL in this house.  I think every insecurity I have has come out, we have gone into crisis mode and tears have been a daily companion.  Here is what I've learned... talk, a lot. Getting Ready

As we start reaching the middle of July we start think of back to school.  Normally this is the most exciting time.  The school supply isle spark so much joy and the plans start running.  This year definitely has a different feel.  I know I miss my students terribly and that is where I'm choosing to live right now, so the prep begins. I, like pretty much every other teacher, stalk pinterest and instagram this time of year. One of my favorite ideas that I heard a few years back makes prep so much better.  Let me tell you now, create a folder on your desk top and label back to school with the year.  Then the next year you can open that folder and you have a fantastic starting point. Thankfully, computer work is a safe COVID way to start your back to school game.  I hope that you find some joy in your back to school prep even in the crazy.  Stay excited and eagar. :)
